The HPV test is mainly for the characterization and classification of HPV, while the TCT is for cervical exfoliation cytology, which are different tests and therefore it is impossible to compare which one is more accurate. However, both tests are important tests to check for precancerous lesions in the cervix or to check for cervical cancer. HPV is an important factor that causes cervical cancer in women, so HPV test can clearly identify whether a woman has HPV infection, and if she is found to be HPV positive, antiviral treatment can be done to solve the problem of cervical lesions at root. TCT is the abbreviation of liquid-based cytology technique, i.e. cervical cancer screening, which mainly analyzes the staining of cervical exfoliated cells to see if there are cancerous cells, so both tests have important clinical significance for cervical cancer screening. However, the test results are not comparable, firstly, the items are different, and secondly, the methods of testing are also different, as TCT is analyzed from cytology and HPV is determined from virology. In addition, the clinical significance reflected is also different. However, whether the HPV test is positive or the TCT test reveals suspicious cancer cells, it should be taken seriously and treated in time.
