What is the relationship between frequency of sex and fertility

Anyone who knows about sexual physiology knows that women of childbearing age ovulate only once during each menstrual cycle, and that the life span of an egg is 24 to 36 hours, while sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for 48 to 72 hours, so the most fertile time is just 1 to 3 days before and 1 to 2 days after ovulation. However, many infertile couples have two very different misconceptions about this issue. The first type is the “nurturing and targeting” type: since you only ovulate once a month, you can’t conceive at other times, so concentrate your energy on having sex during ovulation; the second type is the “planting and harvesting” type, because you can’t estimate the ovulation time and are afraid of missing the opportunity to conceive. The second type is the “wide variety of harvest” type, because it is estimated that the ovulation time, fearing that the opportunity to conceive will be missed, to engage in extremely frequent sex, almost every day to have sex with a view to conception. Both of these ideas are undesirable. It is common knowledge that a low frequency of sex between couples can reduce the chances of conception, but too frequent sex between couples can also affect conception. So how often is it appropriate to have sex? This problem can not be generalized, because everyone’s physique, health and psychological factors are different and different, generally the next morning after sexual intercourse does not feel fatigue is appropriate, want to give birth to the couple best to have 2 to 3 times a week sexual intercourse, ovulation intercourse 3 to 4 times. The frequency of sex is too low, the sperm storage time is too long, most aging, poor vitality, it is difficult to quickly rush through the cervix, the uterine cavity and on time to reach the fallopian tube abdomen and eggs, in addition, can be due to ovulation miscalculation and miss the time to combine with the egg, resulting in infertility, it is generally believed that less than two times a month sexual intercourse, almost no chance of conception. On the contrary, too frequent sexual intercourse can lead to a decrease in semen volume and sperm density, which reduces the chance of conception due to immature sperm development. Some studies have pointed out that reduced semen volume and reduced sperm density can occur when semen is ejaculated once a day for a week. In addition, sperm and semen contain a variety of proteins. For some women who can produce specific immune responses, if they are frequently exposed to their husband’s sperm and semen, these allogeneic proteins act as an antigenic substance that can easily stimulate women to produce anti-sperm antibodies and cause immune infertility, causing sperm to adhere and pile up, bind to each other, lose their ability to move or block the movement of sperm, thus making sperm and This prevents the sperm from combining with the egg and leads to infertility.
