How long can you live in the middle stage of liver cancer?

How long a patient can live in the middle stage of hepatocellular carcinoma is mainly related to the patient’s follow-up treatment and whether there is recurrence, which requires specific analysis and cannot be generalized. Generally speaking, if the tumor is limited, surgery or local radiofrequency ablation can be used to completely kill the still limited tumor, thus improving the prognosis, and even some patients can achieve cure and long-term survival. However, it should be noted that a large proportion of patients still have recurrence and metastasis within 1-2 years after treatment, which requires vigilance. Therefore, the survival period of patients with mid-stage hepatocellular carcinoma varies from person to person, while early diagnosis and early treatment are the keys to improve the prognosis and prolong the survival period. In addition, after treatment, patients should strictly follow the medical prescriptions and take regular medication and have regular review so as to detect the signs of recurrence or metastasis in time and provide timely treatment.
