How many years can a woman live after the removal of her uterus

The length of time a woman survives after removal of the uterus is mainly determined by the disease she had before removal of the uterus and may survive for a long time or within 3-5 years. If the uterus was removed for benign diseases such as fibroids or adenomyosis, the woman may survive for a long time after the surgery. If the uterus is removed due to advanced endometrial cancer or due to ovarian cancer or cervical cancer, the survival period will be relatively short if it recurs after surgery, and the survival time may be within 3-5 years. Regular follow-up and symptomatic treatment such as drugs and radiotherapy are needed after surgery, which can prolong the survival period of patients, but cannot cure them completely. In addition, before a woman removes her uterus, the doctor will make a comprehensive assessment of the woman’s disease, and pathological tests will also be required during the operation, thus assisting in the diagnosis in anticipation of improving the patient’s quality of life and survival after the operation.
