In 2006, thermosensitive moxibustion was approved as a national key promotion technology, and the “National Medical Collaboration Network” was established. The “Chinese Thermosensitive Moxibustion Day and Chinese Thermosensitive Moxibustion Global Launching Ceremony” was held at the International Information Development Network Pavilion in Shanghai Expo on September 29, 2010. Experts said that thermal moxibustion has the advantages of safety, effectiveness, non-invasive pain, non-toxic side effects, low cost, mobilization of the body’s endogenous anti-disease function and other significant advantages, especially for bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, functional dyspepsia, primary dysmenorrhea, osteoarthritis of the knee and other conditions with significant clinical efficacy. In the afternoon of the same day, relevant experts gave a special lecture on the theory and clinical practice experience of thermal moxibustion, and gave a voluntary consultation on thermal moxibustion for Chinese and foreign patients. Dr. Tian Ning from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Integrative Medicine was invited to give a wonderful lecture.
