Gum enlargement is usually an outpatient, very minor procedure that does not require hospitalization if you are young or in relatively good health. However, in the case of special patients, such as elderly patients or patients with other systemic diseases, hospitalization is required. Usually if the general condition is healthy, if the patient is not particularly old or has a special physical condition, the procedure can usually be done on an outpatient basis and does not require hospitalization. If the patient lacks the ability to care for himself, this procedure may require hospitalization and post-surgery because post-operative care, including oral cleaning, is also required.
