Ultrasound is a high-frequency sound wave, widely used in all systems of the body as well as prenatal fetal examination, the examination has the advantages of non-invasive, repeatable, low price, high accuracy, and suitable for both young and old, etc. It has become one of the preferred clinical examination methods and can be used as a routine health screening program to screen for early diseases. Ultrasound examination of the urinary system is more widely used, and it can be used to check whether there are stones, fluid and tumors in the urinary system. Before performing ultrasound examinations of the bladder, ureter, prostate, seminal vesicles, and gynecology, it is necessary to hold urine and fill the bladder moderately to reduce intestinal gas interference and provide a good sound transmission window. The abdominal organs such as liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidney, abdominal vessels, lymph nodes and gastrointestinal ultrasound need to be fasted for more than 8 hours to reduce the interference of celiac disease and gas in the gastrointestinal tract and to improve the imaging quality. The prostate gland and seminal vesicles are located in the pelvic cavity and are obscured by the intestinal canal in front, so conventional transabdominal ultrasonography has poor image quality and some small lesions are easily missed. The ultrasound is a sterilized ultrasound probe that is placed into the patient’s rectum, avoiding the obstruction of the pelvic bowel and clearly showing the entire prostate and small lesions inside, improving the detection rate of prostate lesions, but at a lower cost than MRI and other tests. The diameter of the transrectal prostate ultrasound probe is about the thickness of an adult’s pinky finger, which is painless for the average patient, who may experience slight discomfort during the examination due to nervousness or anal or rectal disease, but most patients can tolerate it.
