The traditional treatment of the thyroid gland is surgery, which involves making a 6-10 cm long incision in the neck, which later leaves scars on the neck for life, affecting the aesthetics and reducing the quality of life, making it difficult for modern women, especially young women, to undergo this surgery. The laparoscopic thyroid surgery was developed on the basis of laparoscopic surgery and was first performed abroad by Dr. Huscher in 1997. The emergence of this surgical method can also be described as a technological revolution in surgical techniques, changing the history of traditional surgery that required incisions in the surgical site of the body, as well as the ability to perform surgery with the help of modern high-tech equipment in small openings away from the surgical site, so that the surgeon does not have to leave surgical scars on the exposed body parts of the patient. A small incision of 1.2 cm is made between the two breasts, a small surgical space is separated under the skin, a small incision of 0.5 cm is made at the upper edge of the left and right areola, and the operating instruments are inserted. The patient can be discharged from the hospital in 3-5 days after surgery. This shrinks the scar that was left on the neck down and hides it to a hidden place on the body, achieving a minimally invasive cosmetic effect while having a satisfactory clinical treatment effect, and is therefore very popular. For the surgeon, solid laparoscopic skills, including complex surgical techniques such as microscopic suturing, are necessary to perform this new technique. For the patient, there are no adverse reactions such as pulling and pain during and after the operation, and the postoperative pain is mild and can be discharged in 3-5 days. In conclusion, this new technique is generally very safe and effective as traditional surgery, but has the outstanding advantage over traditional surgery, that is, satisfactory cosmetic results, so that the “suicidal” surgical scars that originally belong to you disappear and make you more confident.
