The novel coronavirus belongs to the coronavirus family and is highly infectious, mainly transmitted through respiratory tract and contact, but from the current clinical case data, the lethality rate is not high. Most patients have a good prognosis and can be discharged from the hospital with proper isolation and rest and symptomatic management. Mildly ill patients only present with weakness and weight loss, and can recover more quickly with proper management. Severely ill patients may develop pulmonary fibrosis, and full recovery may take some time. A small number of critically ill patients can develop serious complications that can lead to death if they progress rapidly.
