It is possible that this is a diabetic foot. Diabetic foot is caused by lesions in the blood vessels and nerves of the foot in diabetic patients, resulting in inadequate blood supply to the foot, abnormal sensation, ulceration, often accompanied by infection, and in severe cases, affecting the muscles and bones.
