How long can I live after surgery for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma?

Surgery for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is divided into radical surgery and palliative surgery. In radical surgery, patients with pancreatic head cancer often have a median survival time, which is 18-24 months, that is, one and a half to two years. However, some patients are not able to survive to one and a half years because pancreatic cancer is prone to metastasis at a very early stage, but some patients can survive for more than two years or even longer. For patients who are not able to undergo radical resection, their survival time is determined by the growth cycle and regularity of the disease itself, mostly between six months and one year.
