Calcified thyroid nodules are a disease of the human body. The thyroid gland is located on both sides of the upper end of the trachea at the front of the neck, below the thyroid cartilage, and can be divided into two lobes, left and right, connected by a narrow isthmus in the middle. A thyroid nodule is a nodule in the thyroid gland that is formed when the cells in the thyroid gland are hyperplastic and dense, and the amount of cells in the unit volume is significantly higher than normal. Treatment Calcification of the thyroid gland is usually not life-threatening and can be treated with surgery, but surgery is not the only treatment. However, surgery is required in the following cases: 1. Malignant tumor is diagnosed. 2.After puncture and a series of comprehensive examination, it is not determined whether the tumor is benign or malignant, but the possibility of malignancy is highly suspected (patients with adhesions, very old or very young). 3.The tumor is very large and there is pressure, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing, and even some tumors obviously affect breathing.
