The clinical manifestations of acute glomerulonephritis mainly include urinary changes, edema, renal hypoplasia, hypertension and so on. 1. Urine changes: manifested as different degrees of microscopic hematuria or even hematuria, often accompanied by mild or moderate proteinuria. Urine volume decreases in edema, urine specific gravity increases slightly, and oliguria and anuria can occur in severe cases. 2. Edema: most patients with acute glomerulonephritis are accompanied by edema, mainly facial edema in the morning, or bilateral lower limb depression edema, and in severe cases, ascites and generalized edema can occur. 3. Renal hypoplasia: some patients have transient renal hypoplasia in the early stage of the disease due to the decrease of glomerular filtration rate and the decrease of urine output, most of the patients will return to normal after a few days of diuresis to reduce the swelling, and only a very few patients will develop to severe renal injury. 4. Hypertension: due to water and sodium retention, patients with mild to moderate hypertension, generally after diuretic treatment, blood pressure can be better controlled.
