Osteoporotic fractures are commonly found in the following areas: 1) lumbar spine; 2) hip: such as femoral neck fracture and intertrochanteric fracture; 3) distal forearm, i.e. distal radius fracture; 4) proximal humerus fracture. To prevent fractures in patients with osteoporosis, firstly, bone density is tested and fracture risk is assessed regularly, followed by basic treatment such as calcium and vitamin D supplementation. In addition, proper outdoor exercise, muscle training, avoiding falls and injuries, and a balanced diet can also be effective in prevention.
