TBS can rule out most patients with cervical cancer, but there is a potential for a false negative rate of 10-15%. Therefore, for patients who are negative for TBS, further combination of HPV test is needed. If the HPV test and TCT test are negative, regular cervical cancer screening is also needed. If the patient has combined intercourse bleeding and has more severe symptoms, even if TBS and HPV are negative, referral for colposcopy may be considered. In this case, the accuracy rate of ruling out cervical cancer is higher. tbs does not completely rule out cervical cancer, further combination of HPV, colposcopy and cervical biopsy if necessary will further rule out the diagnosis.
