The difference between acne marks and acne pits

The pimple marks and pits are both traces left after the skin acne has healed, but there can be differences in color, trait, and cause, so the treatment is also slightly different. 1. Color: Pimple marks are light red, dark red or brown, the darker the color means the more serious the previous acne. The darker the color, the more serious the previous acne. The surface of the acne pit is uneven, and the color can be skin tone or light red; 2. Acne pits are pits that are bumpy after the acne has faded, appearing when the skin damage is deeper and can reach the dermis layer of the skin; 3, the cause: light red acne marks are light red traces left by inflammation caused by vasodilation, after the inflammation has recovered, the blood vessels have not yet recovered. Brown acne marks are pigmentation left behind after the inflammation of acne. Acne pits are due to more severe inflammation and excessive loss of collagen in the dermis resulting in dermal collapse and leaving pits; 4. Treatment: Most acne marks can recover on their own without special treatment. Among them, light-colored acne marks recover faster and can disappear in about 1 month, while brown acne marks take longer to recover, usually more than 2-3 months. The possibility of recovering as before after the formation of acne pits is relatively small, and can only be treated by fractional laser, skin grinding and other medical aesthetic methods.
