Pain in the thigh a little below the buttocks, if there is no trauma, may be radiating pain in the lower limbs caused by lumbar disc herniation compressing the nerve roots, which may be accompanied by numbness in the lower limbs. It may also be pain caused by long-term strain and local inflammation of the thigh.
This can be determined by a combination of medical history, combined with physician examination and imaging.
