Pain in the hip and thigh area should be seen by an orthopaedic surgeon. If the pain in the hip and thigh area occurs after a traumatic injury, it may be due to a muscle strain. If the patient has low back pain accompanied by pain in the hip and lower limbs, it may be due to a herniated lumbar disc.
It is important to improve imaging of the lower back and lower limbs based on history, symptoms and signs to help diagnose and treat the cause.
