Pain in the lower hip and thigh should be seen at a regular hospital orthopaedic department. If there is a history of trauma, it may be caused by an injury to the gluteus maximus muscle. If the patient has been drinking heavily or taking hormones for a long time, be alert to the fact that it is caused by femoral head necrosis, which requires a medical history and doctor’s examination, and lower limb x-rays to help determine the cause and target the cause for treatment.
