What are the signs of glioblastoma on MRI?

The tumor has a low signal on T1-weighted image and a high signal on T2 image with poorly defined tumor shadow, which is not easily distinguished from the adjacent brain tissue. If there is a large necrotic area in the tumor, it will be more low signal, and if there is hemorrhage, it will be high signal. The corpus callosum and midline structures are often involved, such as the longitudinal fissure pool may be deformed, narrowed or displaced. The tumor has a mixed signal on T2-weighted images, with predominantly high signal and scattered low and equal signal. The very significant contrast enhancement of the tumor after contrast injection makes the tumor clearly demarcated from adjacent structures, and it is more characteristic to be found in the deep brain.
