What are the causes of cervical cancer?

  Cervical cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy. The high incidence age of in situ cancer is 30 to 35 years old, and that of invasive cancer is 45 to 55 years old; in recent years, there is a trend of its incidence becoming younger. The common application of cervical cytology screening in recent decades has enabled early detection and treatment of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions, and the incidence and mortality rate of cervical cancer have been significantly reduced.  What are the causes of cervical cancer?  1. Impure sexual behavior: early age of first marriage, multiple sexual partners, STDs and prostitutes have high incidence of cervical cancer. 2.Human papilloma virus (HPV): HPV infection plays an important role in the occurrence of cervical cancer. HPV DNA can be detected in more than 60% of cervical cancers. 3.Contraceptive pills: Those who take oral contraceptive pills >5 years have 2 times higher risk of cervical cancer, mainly cervical adenocarcinoma.  4.Other: Cervical cancer mostly occurs in women with low economic status, which may be related to insufficient nutrition affecting the defense ability of cervical mucus or poor personal hygiene of patients or their spouses.
