Congenital hemangioma is a benign tumor of the skin caused by malformation of vascular tissue or expansion of existing blood vessels during fetal life, mostly seen in infants or children. Clinically, it is divided into nevus, strawberry capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma and mixed hemangioma, and mixed hemangioma is a mixture of two types of hemangioma, while one type is the main one. 1.Laser treatment The professional laser equipment is used to coagulate the hemangioma tissue for the purpose of treating hemangioma. Flash pump pulsed dye laser with wavelength of 585nm and YAG laser with wavelength of 1064nm can selectively act on vascular tissues and have good efficacy on bright red nevus and strawberry hemangioma with thickness less than 4mm. 2.Local injection treatment Commonly used injections include sclerosing agent, glucocorticoid, pinyamycin, urea and so on. It is suitable for cavernous hemangioma and mixed type hemangioma with small area. 3.Cryotherapy The strong low temperature caused by the volatilization of liquid nitrogen causes the hemangioma and the tissues around the hemangioma to condense, and leads to cell rupture, disintegration and death, and then the hemangioma disappears through the process of tissue repair. This method is easy to leave scars and is suitable for small area lesions. 4.Surgical excision Applicable to larger cavernous hemangioma or mixed hemangioma, facial lesions should be combined with cosmetic skin grafting to repair the lesion area. 5.Radiation and isotope treatment Commonly used are superficial X-ray irradiation, cobalt 60 local irradiation, strontium 90 film external paste, phosphorus 32 colloid local injection. This method is easy to cause radioactive dermatitis and has the possibility of cancer, so it is generally not suitable for use. 6.Interventional treatment is applicable to visceral hemangioma such as hepatic hemangioma. When using it, we should strictly control the indications and avoid the flow of embolic agent into other organs and tissues. 7.Propranolol (Insulin) oral drug treatment is a new treatment method in recent years, which is suitable for those who have huge facial hemangioma or huge hemangioma in some parts of the body that are not applicable to other methods of treatment. It has good prognosis and no scar, but requires long-term medication and short-term hospitalization for observation and monitoring of drug reactions.
