Self-healing time of novel coronavirus

Most coronaviruses cause mild symptoms, usually lasting about a week, and can be cured with rest and over-the-counter medication. In contrast, the severity of symptoms of the new coronavirus varies from person to person, and the majority of patients have difficulty healing on their own and need to be admitted in isolation and treated with strict antiviral therapy by their doctors. The prognosis for most patients is good, and the time to cure varies from person to person. A return to normal temperature for more than 3 days, significant improvement in respiratory symptoms, and two consecutive negative nucleic acid tests for respiratory pathogens (at least 1 day between sampling times) means that the patient is cured.
