What to do with red palms in Yin deficiency

For red palms caused by yin deficiency, Chinese medicine practitioners usually adopt the treatment principle of nourishing yin and reducing fire (nourishing yin essence and lowering fire), with commonly used prescriptions such as Lily Solid Gold Soup and Jade Maiden Decoction. Lily Solid Gold Soup has the effect of nourishing the lungs and kidneys, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. It is mainly used for treating lung and kidney yin deficiency and inflammation of deficiency fire. Symptoms include cough and wheezing, blood in sputum, dry and sore throat, dizziness, afternoon hot flashes (a burst of fever), red tongue with little moss. Jade Maiden Decoction is effective in clearing heat in the internal organs, clearing heat in the stomach and nourishing yin in the kidney. It is mainly used in treating gastric heat and yin deficiency. Symptoms include headache, toothache, loose teeth, epistaxis, irritable heat (irritability and sultriness), dry thirst, red tongue with yellow moss and dryness. It is also used for treating thirst, elimination of grain and hunger (eating too much and being hungry easily). It is not suitable for people with loose stools and Yang deficiency in the spleen and stomach. If you need to use the medicine, you should go through a doctor’s diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
