It is called “hot sores” or “fire sores” in Chinese medicine. Diagnosis 1. The rash is a cluster of small blisters that break down to form vesicles and superficial ulcers, gradually drying and crusting, and healing in 1~2 weeks. 2.Self-perceived burning and pain, which may be accompanied by local lymph node enlargement. 3, the patient’s first contact with HSV infection is called primary infection, herpetogingival stomatitis, neonatal herpes simplex, etc. 4. Direct immunofluorescence examination of viral antigens with monoclonal antibodies in skin lesion scrapings helps in clinical diagnosis and virus typing, and serum antibody determination of IgM is useful for clinical diagnosis of recent infections. Differential diagnosis 1. Impetigo: The blisters of herpes simplex are small, tense, clustered, and occur at the skin-mucosal junction. In impetigo, the blisters are looser and the lesions are covered with thicker honey-yellow vesicles, and the pathogens of the two are different. 2, fixed drug rash: the lesions are round edematous erythema, the onset is related to the use of drugs.
