What are vascular diseases?

Vascular disease mainly refers to the occurrence of stenosis, occlusion, dilatation, rupture, venous valve closure insufficiency, etc., including peripheral vascular injury, arterial disease, venous disease, arteriovenous fistula, and so on.

1. Peripheral vascular injury:

Direct injury: such as cuts, puncture wounds, crush injuries, surgery and so on.

Indirect injury: such as excessive stretching movements caused by vascular lacerations, trauma caused by strong and sustained spasm of the arteries.

2. Arterial disease:

Atherosclerotic diseases: such as coronary heart disease, arteriosclerotic occlusive disease, etc.

Thromboembolic vasculitis: refers to recurrent, segmental, inflammatory chronic occlusive disease of blood vessels.

Arterial embolism: such as pulmonary embolism, mesenteric embolism, lower extremity arterial embolism, etc.

Multiple aortitis: occurs mainly in the aorta and its branches, causing stenosis or occlusion of the associated arteries.

Raynaud’s syndrome: refers to paroxysmal spasms of small arteries.

Aneurysm: such as abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral aneurysm, visceral aneurysm and so on.

3. Venous diseases:

Chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs: such as primary deep venous valve closure insufficiency of the lower limbs, primary varicose veins of the lower limbs.

Deep vein thrombosis: such as upper extremity deep vein thrombosis, lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, etc.

4. Arteriovenous fistula: including congenital, injurious arteriovenous fistula.

Patients suffering from vascular diseases should be treated in time to avoid aggravation.
