Recovery Guidelines for Hepatitis B Patients

Chronic hepatitis B is one of the common chronic infectious diseases in China, seriously endangering people’s health. As the disease is prone to migration and recurrence and often has a relatively long-term recovery process, physicians and the community should help hepatitis B patients establish a correct understanding and guide them on the path of hope. How can patients achieve correct and reasonable medication and treatment, and what issues should be paid attention to in daily life, China Liver Network invited liver disease treatment experts to talk about these issues for you. Limit smoking and avoid alcohol Because alcohol not only directly damages the liver and aggravates the disease, the ethanol and nitrosamines in alcohol can cause fatty degeneration of the liver, causing alcoholic hepatitis, liver fibrosis, liver cancer, and can affect the therapeutic effect of antiviral drugs. And nicotine also has huge damage to the human body, so you should try not to smoke, drink. Rest and nutrition should be moderate and scientific As excessive rest and nutrition can lead to over-nutrition and trigger fatty liver and other related diseases, while doing nothing can aggravate psychological stress and lead to neurasthenia. Therefore, when liver function is normal, you can study and live normally. Jaundice deepens to be alert Once a patient with hepatitis develops jaundice, it means that there is significant inflammation of the liver and even necrosis of liver cells. The more severe the necrosis of liver cells, the deeper the jaundice will be. Therefore, when a patient with hepatitis develops deep jaundice, he should be alerted to the possibility of severe hepatitis due to extensive hepatocyte necrosis. The sooner severe hepatitis is treated, the better the outcome; in the middle stage, the treatment is less effective and the cure rate is only about 50%; in the late stage, the chance of salvage treatment is lost and the death rate is as high as about 90%. Therefore, when hepatitis patients appear jaundice should promptly bed rest, as soon as possible to hospital treatment. Reasonable use of drugs, do not use more drugs and abuse of drugs For hepatitis B virus carriers with normal liver function generally do not need to use drugs. Some patients always think that if they have a disease, they must take medicine and feel safe after taking medicine, but in fact, most hepatitis B virus carriers do not need to use medicine. Inappropriate medication is not only unsafe, but often causes drug-related hepatitis or other related adverse drug reactions. Medication should always be administered under the guidance of a physician. Regular review Clinical experience has shown that patients, especially those with hepatitis B major triplets, are often unknowingly infected with chronic hepatitis and do not seek treatment until cirrhosis occurs and ascites appears, which is too late. Generally speaking, patients who are discharged from the hospital with acute hepatitis cured should be rechecked once every half month for the first month, and then once every 1 to 2 months if both are normal, and once every 3 months after half a year. Asymptomatic hepatitis B virus carriers are reviewed once every six months.
