Generally, the diameter of hepatic hemangioma is <5cm, and the diameter of giant hemangioma is >5cm, which is usually asymptomatic, or there may be symptoms such as vague pain in the upper abdomen, fullness and distension after meals, nausea and vomiting, and so on. Most of the liver hemangiomas are <5cm in diameter, if the diameter of the tumor is >5cm, it is called large hemangioma, and hemangiomas larger than ten centimeters are called giant hemangiomas, and extremely large hemangiomas can occasionally be seen. Generally speaking, hemangioma has no obvious symptoms, but when the tumor presses the gastrointestinal tract and other neighboring tissues and organs or pulls the hepatic periosteum, nausea and vomiting, postprandial fullness, epigastric pain and other manifestations may appear. If there is thrombosis in the tumor or acute bleeding occurs, severe abdominal pain may appear, which may be accompanied by abnormal liver function and fever. Patients with hemangioma should go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of doctors.
