On a hot summer day, a cold beer with delicious seafood is particularly attractive to many people. In seaside cities, this has almost become a way of life. But with this comes an increasing prevalence of gout.
The formation of gout.
Gout is a crystal-associated arthropathy caused by monosodium urate (MSU) deposition and is directly related to hyperuricemia due to disorders of purine metabolism and/or decreased uric acid excretion.
Clinical manifestations of gout.
Gout attacks occur with sudden onset of severe joint pain, commonly in the elbow, wrist, finger joints, knee, ankle, heel and big toe (usually the first to strike).
Risk factors for gout.
High purine diet, obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, exertion, and family history are risk factors for gout attacks.
Drug treatment for gout.
1. Acute phase (joint pain phase).
(1) Anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs: etoricoxib, fotarine, fenpropathrin, meloxicam, etc. You can choose 1 drug and take it for 3-7 days according to the situation.
(2) Alkalinization of urine: 2-6 sodium bicarbonate tablets/day, monitor urine PH value.
(3) Topical medication: Qingpeng ointment, Fotarine cream, etc. (for topical use, every 3-4 hours).
3. In remission (no pain in the joints and no obstruction to movement for more than 2 weeks).
(1) Alkalinize urine: 2-6 sodium bicarbonate tablets/day, monitor urine PH.
(2) Lowering uric acid: allopurinol tablets, benzbromarone tablets, febuxostat tablets.
Non-pharmacological treatment of gout.
1.Control your mouth: usually you should focus on low purine diet and strictly control the food intake of meat, seafood and animal offal, as shown in the table.
2, weight loss: weight control within the normal range, i.e. height (cm) ÷ weight (kg) squared, with a value between 18.5 and 24.9.
3, drink more water: daily water intake to ensure that the urine volume reaches more than 1500ml.
4, diligent exercise: daily moderate intensity exercise for more than 30 minutes.
