In addition, at present, due to the limitation of specialty, some surgeons and interventionalists do not pay attention to the antiviral treatment of the underlying disease – viral hepatitis, such as HBeAg (+) and/or high HBVDNA load is a significant risk factor for primary liver cancer, and the determination of antiviral treatment plan is required to be individualized and tailored, therefore requires the guidance of a specialist. The main clinical treatments for liver cancer include surgical resection, liver transplantation, interventional therapy, ablation therapy, radiation therapy, systemic chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, and biological, immunotherapy and Chinese medicine treatment. However, any single method of treatment has its limitations, while the combination of two or more methods may make up for the shortcomings of a single treatment, which is helpful to improve the quality of life and long-term survival rate of liver cancer patients.
