Symptoms of systemic scleroderma

The common symptoms and manifestations of systemic scleroderma include: Raynaud’s phenomenon, skin damage such as skin tightness, joint and muscle damage such as joint swelling and pain, and lung involvement such as interstitial fibrosis.
1. Raynaud’s phenomenon: the first symptom of systemic scleroderma is Raynaud’s phenomenon, in which the patient’s fingers and toes turn white, purple and red when they are cold or emotionally stressed.
2. Skin damage: systemic scleroderma can involve the skin of the face, trunk and other parts of the skin, local skin can be seen swelling, tautness, hyperpigmentation and loss of pigmentation, with the progression of the disease, the skin can be waxy and glossy.
3. Joint and muscle damage: systemic scleroderma can involve joints, local joints can be swollen and painful, stiffness, can also lead to local muscle weakness, myalgia and myasthenia and other manifestations.
4. Lung involvement: some patients may have shortness of breath and other interstitial lung involvement.
