What are the common causes of headaches?

  Headache is one of the most common diseases, and many people have experienced headache and think that it is not a big disease, so they can just put up with it or take a painkiller and get better. In fact, a headache may be a lesion in a certain area and is an emergency signal for many specific diseases.  The common causes of headache are: 1. Migraine due to vasodilator contraction dysfunction. The pain occurs intermittently and intensely, usually at the temples, and is relieved after rest.  2.Tension headache Patients often have headaches due to tension, continuous work or mood swings, anxiety, disillusionment, etc.. The symptoms are heavy and tight feeling in the head, which may be accompanied by dizziness and fatigue, or spasmodic pain, pulling pain or swelling pain, which may last for several hours and make the patient restless. The pain may be aggravated during menstruation in female patients. It can be relieved by sleep and rest, hot compress or massage on the head.  3.Trigeminal nerve headache This kind of headache often has a rapid onset, paroxysmal, electric shock-like short-time severe pain, and radiates to the face along a single measurement of the branches of the trigeminal nerve, sometimes only for ten seconds, but repeatedly, several to dozens of times a day, and can be triggered by eating, washing and speaking.  4.Hypertensive headache manifests as pulsating dull pain, head tension, aggravated by shaking the head or exerting force, accompanied by dizziness, and sometimes can be secondary to cerebrovascular accidents. Therefore, if you have a headache and find that your blood pressure is elevated, you should go to the hospital in time to avoid delaying your condition.  5. Five senses headache Inflammation or cancer of eyes, nose, ears and teeth can cause headache. Such as otitis media, mastoiditis, rhinitis, sinusitis pain in the forehead and the root of the nose;
Chronic rhinitis or sinusitis can cause posterior headache and neck headache. Glaucoma can also cause headache.  6.Acute headache In acute headache accompanied by nausea, jet vomiting and fever, intracranial infection should be thought of.  7.Chronic headache Chronic headache is often seen in a variety of diseases inside and outside the skull, such as tumors.  8.Other causes Headache should go to the hospital for cranial CT or MRI examination, EEG, cerebrovascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound, etc. if necessary, in order to make a clear diagnosis and treat according to the cause to be effective, otherwise the disease will be delayed.
