Are all pediatric hemangiomas the same thing?

Some babies are just born or a few weeks after birth, they can see red spots, bruises or strawberry-colored red spots on their bodies, some of which increase rapidly, while others increase gradually in proportion to the child. However, when they go to the hospital, some doctors say that it will subside in the future and there is no hurry to treat it, while others say that it should be treated as early as possible, otherwise it will grow bigger and bigger, which makes parents don’t know what to do. The main reason for the different treatment is that there are many kinds of hemangiomas. The traditional domestic classification method divides hemangiomas into capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma, mixed hemangioma and trabecular hemangioma. According to the traditional clinical classification, strawberry hemangioma and wine spot (nevus) are both capillary hemangioma, but the former grows rapidly after birth and rises above the skin, and most of them can subside afterwards, so they are effective in hormone therapy and can be controlled by appropriate intervention therapy. The above classification is not very helpful for understanding the course of the disease and guiding treatment.
