The virginity complex has been around since ancient times. The virginity complex is a psychological phenomenon in which men care a lot about whether their female partners are virgins or not.
Men with a virginity complex see whether a woman has had sex and whether her hymen is intact as the only indication of a woman’s chastity and worthiness.
Medically speaking, the hymen is simply connective tissue with no real function, and is not given any real meaning in either the Beijing Union Hospital’s Gynecological Practice or the latest edition of the textbook Obstetrics and Gynecology.
However, due to the influence of Confucianism on the Chinese people for thousands of years, the hymen has been given more meaning by society as a symbol of female chastity in the traditional concept.
In ancient times, it was customary to put a garland of flowers on the bride to praise her chastity before marriage, after she was examined in the bridal chamber. Some places will also have the bride’s red handkerchief publicly displayed for others to see, to show purity. And women who lose their virginity will be sunk in the pond of the example of more abound.
In modern times, although “sexual liberation” has liberated our bodies and freedom, there is still a “virginity complex” in the hearts of Chinese men, that is, they hope their future wives can remain virgins and complete their marriage.
Everyone has the right to dominate their own bodies. But after the liberation of the body, why can’t we break free from the shackles of the mind?
The virginity complex is a psychology in which men actually treat their wives as their personal property and believe that they have the right to possess them completely, while for women who have lost their virginity before marriage, they may feel that this property is not complete enough.
For moral reasons, men may feel that women who are not virgins before marriage are also defective in terms of morality, which will not satisfy their moral security.
For the sake of family security and privacy, women who have been virgins before marriage may make men feel more responsible for them and for their families, and give their all to them.
But both legally and ethically, men and women have no personal property dependency, hymen, womb, fetus, etc., the boyfriend does not even have the right to know, these belong only to women, is the freedom of women.
Virginity complex can not be said to be 100% wrong, it is just a part of your mate selection criteria, is the male personal psychology.
If you have a virginity complex, then you should express this clearly at the beginning of your relationship with the other person. The woman is not a virgin should not become the standard of your judgment of her personality and value, she is not a virgin does not mean that her value is low, it only means that she does not meet your criteria for choosing a spouse, that’s all.
For women, whether or not to have sex before marriage is only their own choice, no need to consider the male “virginity”. However, it is important to note that
