What does positive hydrogen peroxide mean?

A hydrogen peroxide test is a type of routine white belt test that can be used to find out if the flora in a woman’s vagina is normal. A healthy woman’s vagina has a relatively stable flora that is kept in a certain dynamic balance. A normal vagina is in an acidic environment that prevents the growth of harmful bacteria, but when there are anaerobic bacteria in the flora, it will cause a positive hydrogen peroxide test, which does not exclude the presence of pathogenic bacteria in the vagina, only that the symptoms are mild and not obvious. Positive hydrogen peroxide does not mean that there must be inflammation in the vagina. Don’t worry too much, but you should pay attention to it. Pay attention to your lower body hygiene in daily life, wash your vulva with warm water, keep it dry, choose loose cotton underwear at best, and pay attention to hygiene when having sex in order to ensure quality. If you feel itchy vulva, you should consider vaginitis as a possibility and need to go to the hospital for treatment. During the treatment period, it is forbidden to have intercourse to avoid cross-infection and do not eat spicy, stimulating and barbecue food. Women must love their bodies. If the hydrogen peroxide test is positive, it is best to treat it symptomatically under the guidance of a clinician to avoid further aggravation of the condition.
