What does it mean to be positive for hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is one of the routine white belt tests that analyzes whether a woman’s vaginal microorganisms are in the normal range by checking the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the white belt. What does it mean to be positive for hydrogen peroxide? A healthy woman’s vagina has a relatively stable flora and maintains a certain dynamic balance. A normal vagina is in an acidic environment that prevents the growth of harmful bacteria, and when the normal flora is replaced by anaerobic bacteria, it leads to a positive hydrogen peroxide. When hydrogen peroxide is positive positive, it will indicate that the vaginal flora is dysbiosis and that pathogenic pathogens may already be present, only that the symptoms are mild and not obvious. A positive hydrogen peroxide does not yet definitively mean that you have vaginitis, but it still needs to be taken seriously and further tests should be taken. Women who are positive for hydrogen peroxide should pay attention to keeping their vulva clean and hygienic, change their underwear daily, don’t wear too tight underwear, pay attention to sexual hygiene and don’t use sanitary pads for a long time. For bacterial vaginitis, it is recommended to use metronidazole orally or place metronidazole tablets vaginally, avoid cold and irritating foods during the medication period, and do not wash the vulva with soap or other irritating lotions or perform vaginal douching. If a woman is found to be positive for hydrogen peroxide during a leuko examination, she must pay enough attention to it and seek the help of a doctor in time to take appropriate measures for treatment under the guidance of the doctor to avoid further aggravation of the disease.
