There are several types of vaccines to prevent cervical cancer

There are three types of cervical cancer vaccines currently in use, including the 2-valent vaccine, the 4-valent vaccine, and the 9-valent vaccine. 2-valent vaccines are mainly used for cervical HPV types 16 and 18; 4-valent vaccines are based on the 2-valent vaccine with two additional anti-HPV types, types 6 and 11, which are low-risk HPV infections; and 9-valent vaccines are based on the 4-valent vaccine with five additional sub-high-risk HPV types. The 9-valent vaccine is based on the 4-valent vaccine and adds 5 sub-high-risk cervical HPV types, and the 9-valent vaccine and the 4-valent vaccine are relatively widely used at present. Regardless of the condition of the vaccine, cervical cancer screening is still required, and cervical HPV and TCT examinations should be performed regularly.
