How long men abstain from sex during pregnancy preparation

It is generally recommended that abstinence for 4-7 days is best for men during pregnancy preparation. It generally takes about 60 days for male sperm to mature, and sperm activity is highest in men within 4-7 days. After the sperm is expelled from the body, it may reduce the viability of the sperm, and conception at this time will reduce the probability of conception. If a man has frequent sexual relations within 4 days, it may lead to insufficient sperm viability, thus making it difficult to cause female conception. In addition, it is recommended that men should not drink alcohol and smoke less during the preparation period, and should not stay in an environment containing radiation for too long, because these conditions may affect the quality of male sperm, which may affect the health of the fetus even if they succeed in making the woman pregnant.
