Early Signs of Mental Illness

  Psychiatric disorders are a class of functional brain disorders with unknown causes, and the early onset is often highlighted in abnormalities in sensation, perception, attention, memory, thinking, behavior and other aspects of mental activity. There is no obvious reason, no painful experience, and they will not actively seek medical help. Even if the patient stays awake all night, the next day he or she is still not tired and apparently has too much energy, but careful observation reveals that the patient has difficulty concentrating, is incoherent, is emotionally volatile, and does not finish his or her work, and the condition is obviously exposed over time.  (2) Sensitivity and suspicion: Patients show heavy suspicion, especially sensitive to the words and actions of others, when they see others meet and talk, they think they are talking about themselves; warm greetings such as tea and dinner are suspected of poisoning them; even the content of television, radio and newspapers feel related to them; certain physical discomfort, they suspect that they are controlled by advanced instruments or think they are suffering from some kind of incurable disease, and it is difficult to explain, and do not listen to (3) Emotional anomalies  (3) Emotional anomalies: manifested as unexplained mood swings, originally cheerful, love to make friends, become worried all day long, long sighs, sad frown; mild character, become easy to lose temper, often because of trivial matters and fury, pestering, nagging at people; quiet character becomes excited and lively, nosy, happy all day long, or become terrified, anxious (4) Personality change  (4) Personality change: change the style of the past, gradually become withdrawn, solitary and isolated; or uninterested in the surrounding things, depressed, alone, cold to others, distant from friends and relatives; or lazy life, unkempt, dirty living room; or lax labor discipline, work procrastination, no courtesy to others, unashamed; or reckless spending, profligate spending.  (5) Abnormal behavior: the external manifestation of mental activity, easy to be found, its main manifestations are strange behavior, increased or slow movements, standing and sitting, making faces, squinting, constantly smoking, wandering around, or especially clean, repeatedly washing hands, or collecting waste, treating garbage as treasure, etc.  (6) The manifestations of neurasthenia: headache, weakness of limbs, easy to worry, anxiety, fidgeting, eating disorders, menstrual changes, lack of concentration, memory loss, reduced ability to work and study, etc.  The above are common symptoms and manifestations of psychiatric patients in the early stages of the disease, but of course, it is not possible to conclude that someone has a psychiatric disorder by having some of the above manifestations, but only by comprehensively observing their entire mental activities can we conclude that there is a psychiatric disorder. In order to determine whether a person is mentally abnormal and whether there is mental illness, and to truly achieve early detection, the patient must be sent to a psychiatric hospital as soon as possible for examination and clear diagnosis to facilitate early treatment and a better prognosis.
