Liver elastometry to determine the degree of sclerosis in your liver

The FibroScan non-invasive liver fibrosis diagnostic device introduced by our department is a liver fibrosis diagnostic device with global patent protection introduced by the French company Echosens. It uses ultrasound technology to assess the stiffness of the liver in kilopascals (kPa) through the elasticity value of the liver tissue reflected from low-frequency ultrasound vibration waves. FibroScan has become the most advanced non-invasive liver fibrosis diagnostic and assessment instrument in the world, greatly improving the detection rate of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients. FibroScan is suitable for the examination of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis caused by various chronic liver diseases, including viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and autoimmune liver disease. FibroScan, like ultrasound, has the greatest advantage of being non-invasive and capable of rapidly diagnosing liver fibrosis with high accuracy and reproducibility, completely avoiding the trauma caused by liver puncture. the diagnostic accuracy (AUPOC) of FibroScan on the grading of various stages of fibrosis is above 80%. The elasticity value is measured in the range of 2.4 to 75.4 kPa. The larger the elasticity value, the harder the texture of liver tissue and the more serious the degree of fibrosis. Patients with liver disease in general can visit our department to receive this test to clarify the degree of sclerosis in their liver.
