Nearly 50% of infertile couples are due to semen abnormalities. Varicocele is the most common and easily corrected cause, after surgery 60-80% of semen improves and 20%-60% of pregnancies can occur spontaneously. 9043 cases of men were counted by WHO, 25.4% had semen abnormalities and 80% were not accompanied by infertility.
