Flushing is not necessarily a precursor to disease. It can be caused by physiologic reasons such as agitation, or by the presence of skin diseases such as lupus erythematosus, or cardiovascular diseases such as mitral stenosis.
Flushing can be caused by agitation, sun exposure, etc., and usually resolves on its own when external factors are removed.
Flushing can also occur in cutaneous lupus erythematosus, which can be manifested as fused edematous erythema on the cheeks and the back of the nose, i.e. butterfly-shaped erythema, and is generally associated with heredity, endocrinology, infection and other factors.
Mitral stenosis in cardiovascular disease can also appear on both sides of the cheeks dark red, lips purple phenomenon.
Therefore, redness is not necessarily a precursor to disease. If the phenomenon of redness persists, go to the hospital in time for examination and timely treatment.
