Children with precocious puberty will have multiple problems, mainly in the following aspects: height restriction, abnormal psychological development, and the effects of primary diseases.
1. Height limitation: one of the biggest hazards of precocious puberty is that the height is lower than expected, that is, lower than the child’s genetic height. Children with precocious puberty have a shorter growth time than normal mature children due to early epiphyseal closure, and most of their heights are unsatisfactory. Some of them are even much lower than their genetic height.
2. Abnormal psychological development: due to the development of secondary sexual characteristics in early stage, girls tend to show low self-esteem; boys show violent tendency.
3. Influence of the original disease: some precocious puberty is caused by central or peripheral tumors, which will lead to more symptoms, such as precocious puberty caused by pituitary tumors, as well as symptoms such as blurred vision, headache, dysuria and other symptoms, and intracranial hypertension in the later stage.
If you find that your child may have precocious puberty, it is recommended that you take your child to the doctor as soon as possible to identify the cause and treat it aggressively.
