Do vestibular gland cysts heal on their own?

Vestibular gland cysts in women do not heal on their own. In most cases, some cysts may not grow for years, while others may increase in size or become abscessed in a short period of time. The vestibular glands are located at the back of the labia majora, one on each side, and are about the size of a soybean. If the vestibular glands are blocked, the fluid in the ducts cannot be drained in time and cysts will form. Smaller cysts can be temporarily observed if the woman is not in discomfort, but if the cyst is larger, with a diameter of 3 cm or more, or if it is red, swollen or painful, it needs to be treated in a timely manner, as the formation of vestibular gland cysts is related to excessive local friction or bacterial or viral infection.
