Does cryptogenic nephritis continue to progress?

The condition of occult nephritis has the potential to continue to develop.
Occult nephritis is also known as asymptomatic hematuria and proteinuria, which is a type of glomerular disease in which patients only show asymptomatic hematuria or proteinuria, not accompanied by edema, hypertension and renal function impairment.
The prognosis of cryptogenic nephritis is relatively good, as long as regular review, maintain good living habits, most patients’ renal function can be stabilized for a long time, and a few patients can be cured on their own.
However, a few patients will have proteinuria aggravation, renal function damage, turn into chronic glomerulonephritis, and eventually may progress to end-stage renal failure.
In conclusion, patients with cryptogenic nephritis should regularly monitor the changes of urine routine, urinary protein, renal function and blood pressure, avoid overwork and the use of nephrotoxic drugs, quit smoking and drinking to protect the kidneys as much as possible and prevent the disease from deteriorating.
