  Penicillin treatment for syphilis is usually administered by intramuscular injection, usually once a week, for a total of 3-4 injections. However, the exact duration of treatment varies from person to person and is subject to regular review to determine whether syphilis has been eradicated.  Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by infection with the syphilis spirochete, and penicillin is the treatment protocol recommended by the State Ministry of Health for the treatment of syphilis in its early stages with remarkable results.
