A 5 girl with precocious puberty was found to have a hypothalamic malformation tumor. The malformation tumor was removed via pterygoid approach. For such cases, if the child is young and presents only with precocious puberty, it can be treated medically. For cases that can tolerate surgery, surgery can be performed. However, the risk of surgery is still greater.
