Treatment of Chronic Alcoholism by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Chronic alcoholism (alcohol poisoning) can be treated with the Chinese herbal tonics Licorice Diarrhea Heart Soup, Si Reverse Soup and Sijunzi Soup, or the proprietary Chinese medicines Yushu Dan and Niuhuang Qingxin Pill.
Solid alcohol poisoning is mainly manifested by nausea and vomiting, smell of alcohol in exhaled breath, and in severe cases, vomiting blood, blood in stool, and lethargy, etc. It can be treated with the Chinese patent medicine Yu Shu Dan or the Chinese herbal medicine soup Licorice Laxative Heart Soup. It is prohibited for cold body, and adverse reactions include diarrhea.
Deficiency alcoholism is mainly manifested by mental instability, cold limbs, abdominal pain and diarrhea, and can be treated with the proprietary Chinese medicine Niuhuang Qingxin Pill or the Chinese herbal tonic Sijunzi Tang combined with Siwei San. It is prohibited for hot body, and the adverse reactions include fever.
Alcoholism patients with related symptoms need to go to the hospital in a timely manner, do not take medication on their own, delaying their condition.
