Are uterine cancer and cervical cancer the same thing?

Uterine cancer and cervical cancer are not the same thing, they are two completely different diseases. Both uterine cancer and cervical cancer are malignant tumors in women, and are among the three major malignant tumors. Uterine cancer is essentially endometrial cancer, which is a group of epithelial malignant tumors occurring in the endometrium. It is the most common adenocarcinoma originating from endometrial glands and is one of the three major malignant tumors of female reproductive tract, accounting for 7% of female systemic malignant tumors and 20%-30% of female reproductive tract malignant tumors. The average age of onset is 60 years old, of which 75% occurs in women over 50 years old. Cervical cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy, originating from intraepithelial lesions of the cervix, and the high incidence age of cervical cancer is 50-55 years old. Due to the popularity of cervical cancer screening and cervical vaccination, early detection and treatment are now possible, and many cervical cancers are detected and treated during the precancerous period, so the incidence and mortality rate of cervical cancer has decreased significantly.
