From April 1996 to October 1999, the author treated 86 cases of headache caused by cluster headache, migraine, menstrual headache, and sinusitis with self-prepared QIQIAO pain relief powder with satisfactory results, which are reported below. 1.Clinical data All 86 cases were outpatients. Among them, 35 cases were male and 51 cases were female; the minimum age was 16 years old and the maximum age was 65 years old; the shortest duration of the disease was 2 months and the longest was 12 years. 37 cases of cluster headache, 29 cases of migraine, 13 cases of headache caused by sinusitis and 7 cases of menstrual headache were among the 86 cases. 2.Treatment method The formula is composed of 10g of scorpion, 10 of centipede, 20g of chuanxiong, 20g of asparagus and 5g of cinnabar. 5 drugs are finely ground and evenly divided into 10 parts, 1 part each in the morning and evening after meals, and taken with warm water for 5 days. In some cases, according to the different diseases and different parts of the headache, the pain will be relieved and the miraculous effect will be seen immediately after the dialectical treatment with soup or the addition of meridian-triggering medicine. For example, for migraine headache, we should add San Miguel Tang; for menstrual headache, we should add Danjuania Yi Yao San and Si Wu Tang; for headache caused by sinusitis, we should add Cang Er Zi San; for headache caused by Sun meridian, we should add Qiang Wu and Man Jing Zi; for headache caused by Yang Ming meridian, we should add Ge Gen and Bai Zhi; for headache caused by Shao Yang meridian, we should add Chai Hu and Baicalin; for headache caused by Conjunctive Yin meridian, we should add Wu Ju Guo and Wu Ben. 3.Treatment results Relieved: the pain disappeared completely in 55 cases; apparent effect: the pain improved significantly in 24 cases; invalid: the condition did not change after 1-2 courses of treatment in 7 cases, the total effective rate was 91.9%. 4. Case example: Zhi, female, 37 years old, kindergarten teacher. She was first diagnosed on October 21, 1996. She had been diagnosed with intermittent headache for 6 years in the internal medicine department of local hospital, and the effect was not obvious when she took western medicine such as ergotamine, aminoglutethimide, glutathione, and spikenard tablets. The effect was not obvious, and the effect of taking Chinese medicine to relieve liver and Qi, dispel wind and relieve pain was also not effective. This time, he had an attack due to a family matter and was in pain at the time of consultation. He was given the original formula of Qixiao Pain Relief San plus Chai Hu 10g. 1 dose was given as above, and he complained that the pain had mostly disappeared after 2 days. 5.Summary The formula of “Qi Xiu Pain Relieving San” is based on the formula of Li Fengxiang, a veteran herbalist of Glutinous Rice Cake Autonomous Region, for the treatment of severe headache (6g of whole scorpion, 6g of silkworm, 3g of vermilion), with the addition of centipede, Chuanxiong and Tianma. The head is the meeting of all the yang, and the only thing above the top is the wind, so the treatment of headache mostly uses products that dispel wind. The centipede and the scorpion in this formula have the function of quenching the wind and relieving spasm and pain, especially for stubborn headache; Chuanxiong is an important medicine for headache, “headache is not open to rhizome”, it has the function of activating blood circulation, moving qi and relieving pain, and can lead the medicine into the luo to reach the disease; Tianma quenches the wind and relieves spasm and pain, “together with Chuanxiong The combination of the five drugs can achieve the miraculous effect of relieving pain, which is really effective for all kinds of stubborn headaches. In addition, whole scorpion, centipede and vermilion are poisonous products, generally no obvious toxic reactions within the range of the common dosage of the powder, but overdose or long-term use can cause poisoning, so caution is advised, pregnant women and children are prohibited to take.
